Reined cowhorse trainer Tucker Robinson’s family is filled with other talented cowhorse trainers. His wife, Tina, is a successful trainer, and his father, Ted, holds the record for most NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity wins. And, Tucker is making his own winning path in the sport. Before focusing on reined cowhorse, Tucker attended rodeos during high school, competing in team roping, calf roping and cutting, which has only helped to develop him as a rider and trainer. In 2010, Tucker was the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Champion riding Stylish Little Oak, a mare bred and owned by San Juan Ranch. The pair marked a 224 in the fence work to win the event and top a field of 240 competitors. Another of Tucker’s top horses was Days Zanolena. The pair won the NRCHA Hackamore Classic in 2007, then in 2008, Tucker won the NRCHA Stallion Stakes and NRCHA Derby with the mare. Like Tucker, the mare has an impressive cowhorse pedigree and represents a lot of NRCHA history through her owners, Matt and Lesley Day. Tucker is regularly in the finals, and usually finishes in the top five, at major NRCHA events, including 2019 NRCHA Derby Open Reserve Champion.
