With over $11 million in lifetime earnings, Lloyd Cox is the NCHA All-Time Leading Open Rider. He was the Equi-Stat Top Cutting Open Rider in 2003, 2010 and 2012. In 2000, he earned one of the highest honors for cutting trainers when he was inducted into the NCHA Rider Hall of Fame. Lloyd has shown cutting horses for over two decades and has ridden some of the greatest horses in the sport. He rode the stallion Hottish to win the 2012 NCHA Derby Open and the 2012 Breeders Invitational Derby Open Championships. Riding One Time Royalty, Lloyd marked a record 230 to win the 2010 NCHA Futurity Open Championship. Some of the other notable horses that Lloyd has shown included Dual Rey, Smart Lookin Hi Brow (1999 NCHA Summer Spectacular Champion), Stylish Play Lena, TR Dual Rey, Second Spot (NCHA Hall Of Fame), Blackish, Copperish, and many others. Lloyd is also known as a great Non-Pro trainer and for being one of the nicest trainers to work with in the cutting industry.
