About Casey Deary

At the age of 16, Casey Deary was involved in a life-threatening horse accident that changed his life, but didn’t stop his progress towards becoming one of the country’s top reining horse trainers. Casey got his start taking on low-cost, unbroken horses and training them. As a young entrepreneur in the year 2001, Casey Deary made many friendships and rode with many of the great leaders in our industry; Shawn Flarida, Craig Schmersal, Mike McEntire and the most influential, Bill Horn. Casey eventually started taking on his own clients, which led to one of his first major wins. He was the 2002 NRHA Futurity Limited Open Champion on Hesa Turbo Chic. In the following years, Casey has gone on to win the NRHA Futurity and NRCHA Derby twice, as well as AQHA World Titles in both Junior and Senior Reining. Despite a tough beginning to 2020, Casey went on to have a great year! He won the NRBC Open Level 4 Champion & Reserve Champion, AQHA Junior Reining World Title, and NRHA Futurity Top 5. He didn’t slow down in 2021, winning the NRHA Futurity Level 4 Open and the largest payout in NRHA Futurity history - $350,000.
